READ ABOUT HOW I MAKE MY MASKS

Here is a little bit more about my work,

To make my products, I get all my inspiration from the famous and beautiful Venetian Masquerade Ball masks!
🎭
All the mask blanks are made from scratch.
🎭
I upcycle unwanted junk mail, card and paper to make my own homemade paper paste and with the help of moulds I make the mask blanks.
🎭
These are left to dry for 4 to 5 days, then sanded to remove any imperfections, primed and coated with plaster for hardening and sanded again to get a smooth surface.

They are double-coated with white acrylic paint to be prep for design.
All the designs are hand-painted with acrylics and other media.

Every mask is decorated with different embellishments.
From gems, sequins, rhinestones, glitters, fabrics, embroideries, real feathers, hand-made paper flowers, flexible materials to create the spikes, etc.

The majority of these masks are textured with air-dry clay, also with the help of a hot glue gun or with a plaster batter-like media.

Once the textured masks are dry, these are ready to be enhanced with gilding foils, metallic paints and glitters.

I also use lovely patterned napkins to design other masks styles, using the decoupaged technique.
🎭
They are all double-coated with a high-gloss varnish for a ceramic-look finish also to protect any media that have been used on them.
It also helps to keep the glitters encapsulated and mess-free without losing their sparkle.

These masks are not meant to be worn, only for indoor use as wall decor!

I use loads of bubble wrapping and paper to build a soft bed, preventing being squashed during transit.
