How to Shop with Us

We are a Marketplace. So we recruit regularly new UK artists, artisans and makers who create beautiful pieces and gifts in their studios, home spaces and workshops imbued with their own stories and affection. Your chosen treasures are sent to you directly from the artists’ studios and workshops. Like that you can choose from some our best creative individuals who want to connect directly with you, to give you exactly what you want.

You can register/sign up with us and then immediately choose treasures and gifts from more than one individual seller and pop them in your basket with a few clicks. Our creative products are very diverse to suit all tastes, whims, lifestyles and personal stories. Just browse our quality menus which are always evolving as we recruit more and more quality artists and makers.

We believe in the direct link with the creator so you can ask any question directly to them before you order. Just click ‘Product Enquiry’ on any product page. You may want to know more about how it’s made or what it’s made of, or the inspiration behind it.

Checkout and Payment

At the checkout you can pay using Paypal or your banker’s card. Your payment comes directly to Art in the Heart and we pay the individual Sellers. At the moment we cannot offer combined postage across different Sellers but if you are buying various items from one seller, they will offer an appropriate discount

Ordering, Dispatch and Delivery

Delivery costs and delivery timings may be different but that is part and parcel of who we are and how we do things. Artists and makers are creative individuals not delivery machines. We do ask them to dispatch within 3 working days for items which are in stock. Any specially made, customised or commissioned pieces will take longer of course and we say up to 30 days. Each individual Seller will give details about their postage costs, their dispatch times. Some items may have free postage. Express and international delivery is also available on many products.

When you order, you’ll receive by email, confirmation of your order and payment, and then the seller will dispatch. time.

Secure Payments

Security is of the utmost importance to us. You can pay using credit or debit card. We use a certified secure and encrypted payment gateway, which incorporates the Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode processes; or PayPal, an industry-leading alternative payments provider that offers 24-hour monitoring and advanced encryption. Both options support high levels of fraud screening. The Art in the Heart online marketplace is one of a number of stores providing this added security for you to give you peace of mind when shopping online with us.

Where’s my Order?

Make sure you look at the dispatch details of the Seller. We advise them to dispatch within 3 working days for items in stock. So if your package hasn’t arrived after a week, give the Seller a nudge by clicking on Product Enquiry. If you still need help, you can always Contact Us.

Returns and Refunds

If an item arrives and it is damaged or there is another problem you can send it back to the Seller and get a Refund. Please refer to Returns and Refunds for more information.

We are like anyone else. We love to know what we are doing right, but we also want to know how we can improve. Our marketplace is the newest of its type, and so we are always seeking to fine tune what we do.
