This Commission
Among Rachel’s specialities are her gorgeous vignettes, which tell tales of love, adventure, and treasured everyday experiences through the eyes of her endearing and much sought after British wildlife characters.
For your wedding day or indeed any special occasion, she creates personalised and hugely meaningful bespoke vignettes. Indeed all of her existing pieces are there for inspiration and can be tailored specifically to your wishes.
For weddings and special romantic celebrations, your specially commissioned vignette can be displayed for the enjoyment of family and friends on the special day or can be offered more privately. The piece will highlight physical and personality traits, and interests. they can be serious and romantic, quirky and fun even comical. That is for you to decide. Rachel can also create the ultimate sculpture for the all important wedding cake. Together with her, you can match the colours of clothes and flowers to those of the Bride and Groom Mice. The couple will be placed on pebbles or similar, which will be co-ordinated with the icing of the cake. At the end of the special day when the cake has been cut and given to the guests, the Bride and Groom become a timeless keepsake. A beautiful cloche or lantern to display them will keep them safe over the years

The Artist
Rachel Watts of ‘Through These Eyes’ is a professional wildlife sculptor, who worked for years with leading British figurine companies. She has now created her own amazing brand, which has become one of our Art in the Heart BIG BRANDS. She also creates complete bespoke vignettes for clients who wish to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
Her work has captured the imagination of our fans. They love her whimsical narratives based on little rodents and creatures she sees scurrying across her path.
She works in her studio deep in a wood in the fens, where she sculpts in wax, casts in resin, individually paints and lovingly finishes each piece. View her beautiful pieces.
Prices
Prices start from approx. £150.00 If travel, or on site research is required, there is a time and mileage charge on top, but this can all be discussed.
Before work starts, a price is quoted. The client is then asked to forward a 50% deposit and agrees to pay the balance on completion. On payment of the balance, the completed sculpture is delivered at a convenient time.
