Description
“Symbol Patchwork” -01.02.2022
This artwork features hand stitched Egyptain heiroglyph symbols which I had drawn in my sketchbook as well as a diverse mixture of other patterns and symbols created from drawings. It is another patchwork piece that was made using recycled materials. I paint over the scraps of recycled fabric I use to create some unique aesthetic textures. The whole surface is stitched onto a Chinese new year calender that came free with a takeaway that would have been otherwise thrown away. Creating art from recycled materials saves on costs and helps to lower pricing. Not to mention it is also an environmentally friendly approach to creating something special.
My signature and date of creation is on the back of this piece.
