Description
A pretty, cute or creepy doll (depending on how you see her)..
She is named Freya after the goddess of innocence from Norse mythology. I chose to name her that due to the large daisies on her head. The daisy is the goddess, Freya’s sacred flower. I painted over her original facial features with dark brown/red dotted make-up and bright red lips. Which I did to contrast against her blue eyes. She still has her tiny teeth showing which was a part of her original painting. The dress is a rough yet intricate hand-stitched patchwork made using painted scraps from an old mattress cover. A belt of overlaying patchwork pinches in the dress at the waste. He head, arms and lags are move-able whilst also being a bit top-heavy but can still stand well enough on her own. Each patchwork piece has it’s own individual colours and textures as they were hand-painted by me. She has her original white shoes with flower imprints which have some wear and tear. Her golden hair hasn’t been changed at all as I thought most of the ringlet curls were still intact.
Approximate measurements L: 33cm x W: 19cm.
