Morven Dalton Jewellery
All my jewellery is designed and made by me in my studio in Little Shelford, Cambridgeshire. I originally graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a degree in drawing and painting, but it was my love of jewellery and design that led me to complete diplomas in jewellery manufacture at Holts Academy in London's Hatton Garden. I work mainly in sterling silver with accents of gold, pearl, and semi-precious stones. I like to experiment with surface texture and in recent work I have been exploring the technique of reticulation. This means repeatedly heating up the metal until the surface starts to bubble and move creating unpredictable and completely unique items of jewellery.
I love combining contrasting textures and metals within pieces and strive to create unusual and beautiful jewellery that customers will love and treasure. My inspiration lies in the patterns, forms and textures found in nature, textiles and detail in the world around me.
