• Hi there, My shop is for artists, makers and crafters. I was the Founder and Director of Art in the Heart (2012-2021) and have over 30 years’ experience in education, training and in running art related businesses, on the high street, at international shows and online. I have an MA in Arts Market Appraisal. Throughout, I have been directly engaged in advising artists and makers how to market, and sold their work in different kinds of environments. In my role as Director of a busy high street gallery (2011-2018), I curated displays and exhibitions, organised demonstrations and workshops. I rolled out work experience programmes for local students and adults who wanted to re enter work. I also demonstrated competence in business negotiations with companies and the local authority. I have built up a wealth of experience in marketing and publicity with the same years of experience in writing articles, press releases, narratives for artists and makers and website copy. I was also an arts contributor to regional magazine, The Moment (2011-2021). I  have featured on BBC radio numerous times, talking about business and the high street, and have made several cheeky appearances on TV shows. I set up my first Facebook Page in 2012 followed by a Facebook Group in 2014. I am now well versed in the ways of social media marketing using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with regular Ads and email marketing newsletters. For nearly 20 years I worked with e-commerce selling on most big online platforms in that time, and have had my own e-commerce websites since 2006. I founded and ran this online Marketplace (2017-2021).
