Description

” I hope that I have captured how I felt walking through the colour and serenity of such a gorgeous garden…truly I felt I had arrived in my spiritual home walking through the drifts of iris, foxgloves and roses amongst all the others too many to name. A totally breathtaking place to be in the sunshine and spirit of the great man himself! ” I wrote this after I had visited Monet’s garden in France a few years ago and created a painting of his garden. I felt the same way to my surprise at Kelmarsh Hall wandering in the gardens after I had seen the drifts of numerous foxgloves and Poppies on TV.I love the range of colours and shapes in so many flowers some of which in my many garden adventures I had never seen before.

The first image is of the finished painting in the glorious gardens at Kelmarsh Hall where it was partially painted with the rest of the work in my studio. Large canvases like this are difficult to work on outside as any wind can mean the canvas takes off like a sail. Insects love to flutter among the painted flowers as they attempt to find the nectar and pollen that they need.

This garden is an absolute must if you love flowers and gardens. Take it from a dream to reality and make that plan to visit this beautiful place!

Please remember that Photographs do not show the gorgeous shimmer of the metallic paints and the sparkle of the glitter! This effect is truly stunning on this painting and adds an amazing depth to the painting as the light changes These will be a additional pleasure when you unpack your painting after purchase!

Perfect for hanging as a dramatic piece for your walls, this painting will brighten up any dull day with its beautiful colours and use of glitter and metallic paints. The picture really doesn’t do it justice, this painting is made up of layers which glisten and shine as you view the painting from different viewpoints.

No frame needed for this vibrant wall art, as the edges are painted too. Standing at 101 x 101 x 4cm/40 x 40 x 1.5inchesThis is a unique, statement piece of art.
