Description
This doll is called ‘Amaranthine Maria’..
Wrapped in hand-painted scraps of fabric from the neck down and bound in decorative beads and thread. Long forking twigs ascend from her crown. Her decorations and markings are somewhat made to resemble a Forest Shaman or Pagan deity. This is a one-of-a-kind creation. I don’t use molds for polymer clay sculpture so all facial features are completely unique.
All her limbs including her head are move-able so she is displayable in any position including suspension from a wall or board (as pictured). There is a loop of thread attached to her back.
Approximate measurements (furthest points measuring from twigs); L: 33cm x W: 16cm.
Materials included; Polymer clay, acrylic paint, cotton fabric, hot-melt adhesive, artificial stem wrap, aluminium wire, mixed beads
