Description
I completed a commission to paint four of the wooden pew ends for one of our local churches at Swavesey and I so enjoyed doing the patina of the wood that I looked around for something similar and the Tibetan Cherry (the red one on the right ) came to mind so I went to the winter garden at Anglesey abbey and did a sketch and then painted the piece at home. I added the other two , a Papery Birch – again from Anglesey Abbey on the left and a Plane tree in the middle. The plane tree has extraordinary colour as it was growing in a street in Barcelona and I presume this was caused by the climate there; in this country it would be much duller – green and brown. Hoping that you like these – at my Cambridge Open Studios exhibition many people initially thought that this was a photograph! I loved doing this painting and I hope to do more bark combinations in the future.
To ensure my artwork arrives to you safely, I use heavy-duty tubes. If you want a different size of print please contact me.
