  • I am interested in the illusion of space and atmosphere. My artwork concerns the interaction of shape, texture, space and gestural abstraction. My main interest is in exploring contrasting visual and physical experiences. I sometimes include a diverse use of processes and styles within a single image in order to create tension between elements in my work. I am intrigued by the interrelationship and juxtaposition of forms, colours and textures. So the direction of my work is sometimes determined by intuition rather than reason, although most of the time I do have some preconceived idea of what I want to develop, albeit in an ECLECTIC manner. I also create 3D sculptures and hanging sculptures mainly from salvaged packaging cardboard. I find this challenging and truly rewarding.
