Lino cutting is a printmaking technique in which a sheet of linoleum is used for relief surface. A design is cut into the linoleum surface with v-shaped chisel or gouge, with the uncarved areas representing a mirror image of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked up with a brayer, and then impressed onto paper.
